- Ethan JacobyMar 18, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ★This may be one of the best deals in the area. For $20, you get access to the museum, the tall ship Elissa, and a one-hour harbor tour. The museum itself is nice although exhibits are a bit sparse. However, walking around Elissa and the harbor tour are well worth the price of admission on their own. The tall ship has been restored amazingly well. There really aren't many examples of this type of ship that have been restored so expertly, and most of the ship is open for viewing. The harbor tour was fun as well. It was windy (over 40mph) the day we went, so the tour stayed in the channel, but it was still a fun one hour tour around Galveston. We did spot a couple dolphins, and the rough water was pushing some of the passengers to their limits, but we enjoyed it thoroughly.
